If you guys are facing the same problem as me, and have some games to recommend, that'd be awesome. I just can't.Īnyway, thanks for reading all that, I hope my post isn't all over the place as I'm having a hard time organizing my thoughts. And of course, the game has to have zero amount of reading, as I can't read and listen at the same time. I really like the play store as it gives them the ability to crank up small games without being obliterated by big studios like on the PC/console scene. Most of the games I play are indie games from small studios or from a one-person-dev-team. There may be more, though on the top of my head I can't think of any other that I've tried recently. It's on the edge of asking too much brain power, but it still keeps me in the zone. But I'm mentioning it anyway because it's worth a try. I've beaten it and I don't play it while listening anymore as it sometimes requires too much thinking for me to be able to concentrate on a book in parallel. Though I'm getting very tired of it.Īntiyoy - A very simplistic yet challenging strategy game. But as it's reflex based and is very repetitive, it helps keep me concentrated. I find this game to be bad, or at least not great. Timing Hero - An old school looking action rpg where you duel monsters. My favorite so far as it requires almost zero thinking, but after beating it twice it is starting to get old. Here are the games I enjoyed playing while listening to audiobooks:Īlto's Odissey - 2D snowboard game. So to the subject at hand: Has anyone experienced this? If so, do you guys have games to recommend? I am almost done playing the latest good one I found and I don't have any after. It just has to occupy my eyes and keep the part of my brain that will go on thinking about something else busy enough that I can keep concentrating on listening. It has to be a game that is somewhat entertaining, but doesn't require a lot of thinking and zero amount of reading. Unless, well unless I'm playing a game on my phone.īut not any game will do. After a while my mind will wander off and I'll stop listening. However, I can't do it on the train to and from work. At first concentrating on the audiobook was harder, but I've gotten used to it and now it's a great window for me to be able to "read" daily. I've since gotten a dog and I'm walking him half an hour to an hour daily. Anything that doesn't require a lot of thinking and brainpower will actually help me concentrate more on what I'm listening, and in the mean time the audio book will get my mind off the repetitive task I'm doing. Be it doing the dishes, cleaning, cooking, driving, etc. I found out a long while ago that listening to audiobooks was a great way to make chores go by quickly. In fact, I've just stumbled upon this sub and I hope my post is within the rules, or that this hasn't been addressed a thousand times already.Īnyway let's get to it.
